Wrestling Wins Memorial Classic

State Traditional Wrestling

Congratulations to Abraham Perez and Steven Messer for being State Placers at the State Traditional Tournament this past weekend in Macon. Both wrestlers made it to the podium, Perez as a State Runner Up in the 106 pound class and Messer in 6th place in the 113 pound class. FCHS is extremely proud of these

Wrestling Sectionals

We had six wrestlers qualify for the State Championship tournament at Sectionals Saturday at Mill Creek. Going on to Macon this week are, from left to right in the picture, Darius Green, Mikel Stowers, Abraham Perez, Steven Messer, Sam Aldrich, and Keaton Platzke. Area Wrestling Tournament

Our Forsyth Central Wrestling team competed in the Area 5 (7A) Tournament this past Saturday hosted by North Forsyth.  The team had 10 wrestlers (out of 14 weight classes total) earn a top-four finish to advance to the State Sectionals tournament at Mill Creek next Friday/Saturday.  The event included numerous highlights, including Abraham Perez earning

Our Wrestling team won the Peachtree Ridge Lions Duals this past Saturday. We defeated Peachtree Ridge, Berkmar, Southeast Whitfield, and Wesleyan in the finals to take home the trophy. Wrestling Takes 2nd @Alexander

Wrestling had a successful start to their season as they claimed 2nd at the Alexander Duals on Saturday. The team won their first four matches of the day vs. Central Carrolton, Northside Columbus, Berkmar, and region foe Milton. They are back on the mat this Saturday at Flowery Branch.

State Wrestling Championships

FCHS wrestlers Abraham Perez and Sebestian Legarra made it to the podium Saturday in Macon. Perez finished 5th in the state at 113 pounds while Legarra placed 6th at 220 pounds. We also had three other state qualifiers in Hunter Kurowski, Miles Bankston, and Keaton Platzke.
