State Traditional Wrestling

Congratulations to Abraham Perez and Steven Messer for being State Placers at the State Traditional Tournament this past weekend in Macon. Both wrestlers made it to the podium, Perez as a State Runner Up in the 106 pound class and Messer in 6th place in the 113 pound class. FCHS is extremely proud of these

Wrestling Takes 2nd @Alexander

Wrestling had a successful start to their season as they claimed 2nd at the Alexander Duals on Saturday. The team won their first four matches of the day vs. Central Carrolton, Northside Columbus, Berkmar, and region foe Milton. They are back on the mat this Saturday at Flowery Branch.

State Wrestling Championships

FCHS wrestlers Abraham Perez and Sebestian Legarra made it to the podium Saturday in Macon. Perez finished 5th in the state at 113 pounds while Legarra placed 6th at 220 pounds. We also had three other state qualifiers in Hunter Kurowski, Miles Bankston, and Keaton Platzke.

Wrestling Sectionals

Five FCHS wrestlers qualified for the State Traditional Tournament this past Saturday at the State Sectionals at Mill Creek High School. Congratulations to Sebastian Legarra for winning the 220 pound Region 5-7A Wrestling Championship this past Saturday. He along with eight of his teammates will now travel to Mill Creek this weekend for the State Sectionals. FCHS Wrestling took 1st place this weekend at the Bulldog Brawl. Not only did we win, but we organized the tournament as well in our Arena. FCHS To Host Region Duals

We will host the Region 5-7A Wrestling Duals on Saturday, January 7th in the Dome. All six schools in our region will compete for the top two spots to qualify for the State Duals in Macon beginning on January 12th. The matches will begin at 9:00.

Team Takes 2nd at Coal Mountain Classic

Our Wrestling team placed 2nd at the Coal Mountain Classic this past Saturday. We were able to place six wrestlers in the finals with two of them coming out as champions of their weight class, Steven Messer and Sebastian Legarra. 2nd place finishers for FCHS included Parker Evans, Hunter Kurowski, Keaton Platzke, and Jake Gardner.
